Common wisdom states that Linux systems aren’t very well suited to audio and music production (yet).  But past the awkward first impressions, there’s a lot to be discovered and a truly powerful set of creative tools.

If you never used a command line interface before and expect instant gratification, maybe you should look elsewhere.

But if you like very fine control over your software tools, Linux has no rival and can trigger creativity paths that you might otherwise overlook.

This blog is an attempt to showcase and explore those paths, for the nerdy  type but also for the common user that likes to play around with sound design, music notation, recording, mixing and so on.
